This is a photo I took while hiking in Santa Barbara. I used a filter technique and added a typography graphic. The message is that we need to save our state parks because California is a truly beautiful place that people should be able to enjoy.
Midterm
My subject for the midterm was the Virgin Mary. I added text, and various symbols of the Virgin Mary including roses, angels, and the virgin herself. I also altered the colors, hues, and saturation of various components of the image.
I chose this subject because I have always enjoyed the different depictions of her. They range from very serious to very colorful. I wanted to put my own spin on it.

Duotone Assignment
This is a picture I took hiking to some cold springs in Santa Barbara. I put the stop sign in it because I think it is important for people to slow down a little and enjoy nature. I am happiest when I am outside and I hope people can relate to this.
